The collection consists of sixteen photographs of exterior views of African American schools in Monroe County, Georgia, several including students and educators standing outside of the schools. Four photographs include captions: "Monroe county, February 26, 1934-June 30, 1935"; "Schools of [super]visor J. H. Benjamin"; "Demonstration School, Forsyth, Georgia, Summer, 1934, part of the first grade"; "Demonstration School, Forsyth, Georgia, Summer, 1934, Grades 1-7." The collection also includes: a ticket stub to Bailey's Theatres, Atlanta, Georgia, August 22, 1935; photograph of the Log Cabin Country Life Center in Mayfield, Georgia; newspaper clipping regarding Jessie Howe, a graduate of Clarinda high school; and a newspaper clipping regarding Mrs. J.
